Day 1: Flight from Cairo, Arrival in Aswan & Aswan Tours
Cairo Transfer & Flight:
Pick-up from your hotel in Cairo and transfer to Cairo Airport for your flight to Aswan.
Arrival & Check-in:
Upon arrival in Aswan, meet your Egyptologist guide, transfer to your 5-star Nile cruise, check in, and enjoy lunch onboard.
Aswan High Dam:
Visit the engineering achievement completed in 1960 to control Nile flooding and generate power.
Philae Temple:
Take a scenic motorboat ride to Philae Island to explore the sacred Temple of Isis.
Evening:
Return to the cruise ship for dinner accompanied by an onboard Nubian folkloric show. Overnight stay in Aswan.
Day 2: Abu Simbel Temples & Kom Ombo Temple
Early Morning (Abu Simbel):
Depart at 4:30 AM on a shared small-group excursion to Abu Simbel to discover the grand rock-cut temples of Ramses II and Queen Nefertari.
Return & Sailing:
Return to the cruise ship by noon for lunch while sailing toward Kom Ombo.
Kom Ombo Temple:
Visit the unique double temple dedicated to Sobek (the crocodile god) and Haroeris (the falcon god).
Evening:
Dinner onboard while sailing toward Edfu. Overnight stay in Edfu.
Day 3: Edfu Temple, Esna Lock & Luxor Temple
Edfu Temple:
Morning horse-drawn carriage ride to explore the well-preserved Temple of Horus in Edfu.
Sailing to Luxor:
Relax and enjoy lunch onboard while sailing down the Nile and crossing the Esna Lock toward Luxor.
Luxor East Bank:
Visit Luxor Temple on the East Bank, and if time permits, tour the grand Karnak Temple Complex.
Evening:
Dinner onboard featuring a traditional belly dance performance. Overnight stay in Luxor.
Day 4: Hot Air Balloon, Luxor West Bank, Karnak Temple & Flight to Cairo
Early Morning (Hot Air Balloon):
Early morning pick-up for an unforgettable hot air balloon flight over Luxor’s West Bank.
West Bank Tour:
Explore the Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, and stop for photos at the Colossi of Memnon.
Karnak Temple:
Visit the massive Karnak Temple Complex on the East Bank, the largest religious site in ancient Egypt.
Return Flight to Cairo:
Transfer to Luxor Airport for your flight back to Cairo. Upon arrival at Cairo Airport, meet your driver for a transfer back to your hotel.
